Code of Ethics

RAE-IC upholds the freedom of expression of authors, attention to diversity and minorities, and the freedom of decision of reviewers and editors as ethical principles throughout its editorial process:

- The filtering with anti-plagiarism mechanisms of all published works. RAE-IC will use the free tool Plagium.com to help guarantee the originality of the published texts. This link describes the process of verifying texts through this tool.
- The responsibility of the editorial team to preserve the anonymity of authors and reviewers during the review process.
- The commitment to confidentiality of data and texts on the part of reviewers and editors. The author's commitment to internationally accepted guidelines when the research involves humans or animals.
- Acknowledgement of conflicts of interest, if any.
- Recognition of the use of Artificial Intelligence tools, if any.
- An auditable record of all interactions.
- Suspending the review process or publication in cases of disputed authorship until the dispute is resolved.
- Control of citation manipulation practices.
- Gender balance in the composition of the different journal boards.
- The commitment to ensure accessibility for users with text-only browsers or assistive devices, activating the tools offered by the Open Journal System.
- Moral copyright is unwaivable, inalienable and non-transferable. The authors retain the economic copyright under the Creative-Commons Attribution Share Alike 3.0 (CC BY-SA 3.0 ES) license of Spain.

Furthermore, the journal adheres to the recommendations proposed in the Code of Good Scientific Practices of CSIC and in the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) "Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing". We suggest consulting this document and complying with the precepts described above in order to carry out and publish research that meets the standards of science. Regarding RAE-IC, the journal is committed to complying with the precepts set out in the "Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing" of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), using them as a reference when resolving conflicts such as the manipulation of citations, fabrication of data, etc.

 

Artificial Intelligence (AI):

In the case of using Artificial Intelligence tools or services for the writing of the article, the elaboration or editing of images, the collection or subsequent analysis of data or other tasks during the research process, the authors must indicate it in detail both in the METHODS section and in the section ‘STATEMENT OF USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE’. The authors are responsible for the content of the manuscript, also for all those materials produced, analysed or reviewed by an Artificial Intelligence tool.
