Funding

The publication relies on the disinterested work of the main people involved in its coordination and organisation, without any remuneration for this task.

All contributions, including guest articles, are voluntary and free of charge.

Peer review process

The works submitted to RAE-IC are subjected to an initial evaluation by the Editorial Board to verify that they meet the minimum requirements and, if so, to inform them for subsequent submission to external reviewers outside the editorial team and the publishing institution. Failure to comply with these publication rules will result in the rejection of the proposal before it is submitted for review.

The texts, with the favourable report of the Editorial Committee, are sent to the two external reviewers without signatures and signs that could identify authorship. They must be experts in that area of knowledge and in the speciality of the work. The journal will preferably seek external reviewers from outside the publishing institution and the authors' institution of origin

The academics appointed for the review must complete the "Article review protocol" in which the elements to be assessed are established. Once the blind peer review has been carried out, in accordance with the indications, the article will be published (if the two reports are favourable and no changes are requested), modified (if one or both reviewers so indicate), reviewed again (if the reports do not coincide, a third opinion will be requested) or rejected (if the report of the two reviewers so indicates).

Articles, when modifications are required, will be reviewed by one or more members of the Editorial Committee to verify compliance with the reviewers' indications. Failure to comply will result in the article being rejected. Along with the modifications made to the manuscript, it is necessary to attach the following "Response form to suggested modifications".

The average review time for articles is between 1 and 3 months after sending the original manuscript.

Publication frequency

The publication frequenci is biannual, with issues in February and October, with a special issue in July.

From May 2025 RAE-IC includes an exclusion period of 24 months. Thus, the same person cannot be listed as the author of a work until 24 months after his or her previous authorship.
