Plagiarism detection process

The process detailed below will be carried out prior to the blind peer review of each of the articles sent to Revista de la Asociación Española de Investigación de la Comunicación.

Main screen of Plagium.com.

The text of each of the manuscripts submitted to Revista de la Asociación Española de Investigación de la Comunicación will be entered fractionally in this plagiarism detector through the "quick search" functionality.

This potion will make it possible to identify the following aspects of each of the texts:

- Previous publication
-Link to the source (or sources) in which the matches are detected.
- Degree of coincidence (expressed as a percentage) between the text sent and the materials found by the tool.

The ideal scenario for the publication of a text is that there is no overlap between the contributions written as originals by the author(s). However, the editorial team takes into account the possibility of overlap between certain parts of the submitted manuscript and other previously published texts. This may occur when referring to quotations from previous works. These quotations will not constitute plagiarism as long as they are duly attributed to their original authors in accordance with the journal's citation rules.
