The jump from conventional political sphere to the Web has led to the rise of new spaces and relationship formulas between political actors and citizens. From the perspective of communication and political participation, Twitter is particularly noteworthy for its public and social significance. This microblogging platform acts as an online channel flowing as extension of the public sphere, where the representatives and the represented set new types of interaction based on new rules. This is a new channel for citizen participation and political actors contact with it. This article analyses the presence, influence and participation of Members of the Parliament of Galicia on Twitter. This analysis has been the aim of determining how much political actors use this social platform for «hearing» the demands of the Galician citizenship they represent. Accordingly, the developed research has pointed different use levels in unique members of the Parliament and parliamentary groups.
